The Explorers is a program for HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY, and is a program for career development. Participants go to a worksite to get hands-on experience in a possible career field. This program is open to ALL New York City High School Students, you DO NOT have to be a Boy Scout to join, nor is there any uniform required, except for a branch of Explorers called Law Enforcement Explorers, with divisions in the US Secret Service, FBI, NYPD, US Customs, and more! All scouts and NYC High School students are encouraged to join the NY Exporers to make sure that the field of intrest they want to go into is really for them.
